Linus Is Shutting Down

Linus will be shutting down on April 22, 2022.

Linus was founded in 2019 to help you simply and safely access sophisticated crypto products. It’s been a great ride over these years, and we thank all of you who for supporting our mission.

We've put together this special FAQ for our remaining customers.

Can I still use Linus?

Linus is shutting down. We ask that all customers withdraw remaining balances immediately to prevent their account from being considered abandoned.

Are you still going to launch your crypto offering?

Our team will be offering something new in the future. We'll share the details when the time is right.

I've never withdrawn. What is the best method for withdrawal?

You can use ACH for amounts between $1.00 and $25,000.00. You can also do a wire transfer for amounts of $10,000.00 and above. Linus does not support withdrawals to a debit card. You must withdraw to an ACH or wire account.

To connect a new account, please navigate to Settings and click "Add Account". From here, select the type of account you would like to connect and follow the instructions.

Can I initiate multiple withdrawals to different accounts?

You must withdraw your full balance to your selected ACH or wire account when you initiate your withdrawal.

Will I receive my interest when I withdraw?

Yes, you will be able to withdraw your full balance, which includes interest.

How long will it take to receive my funds once I initiate my withdrawal?

We expect standard processing times to apply. 2-3 Business days for ACH and 1 business day for Wires.

Can I still deposit?

Unfortunately, no. As of March 24th, 2022, deposits will be disabled and you will only be able to withdraw your full balance.

All recurring deposit schedules have been deactivated and will no longer run.

I’ve deposited within the last 30 days. Are my funds being held?

No. To facilitate the return of funds, we’ve removed all holds on customer funds. All settled deposits may be withdrawn, no matter when they were initiated.

What happens if I do not withdraw my funds?

Beginning April 22, 2022, balances will no longer earn interest.

Beginning May 1, 2022, any remaining accounts with balances greater than $0.00 will be subject to a $30.00 monthly account maintenance fee, debited against your Linus balance.

Eventually, any abandoned funds will be turned over to your state’s abandoned property entity per state escheatment laws.

How long will I continue to earn interest?

On April 22nd, 2022, Linus will cease paying interest on any funds.

How long will I have access to my Linus account?

You will have access to log in to your Linus account until May 13th, 2022. You will only be able to withdraw during this period.

What happens to my statements?

All statements are made available to you as downloads via the Activity page. Please download any documents as soon as possible if you wish to retain copies for your records.
